Data carrier destruction
Prevent sensitive data from your organization from being exposed by destroying discarded data carriers. During data destruction, the data carriers are dismantled and destroyed with our advanced shredding or degaussing machines. This ensures that the data carriers are no longer usable or reusable. They are shredded and recycled. The materials are sent to one of our partners for the recovery of (scarce) raw materials. We collaborate with Dutch recycling companies, all of which are Weeelabex certified, just like us.

Data destruction by degaussing and shredding
Degaussing
Degaussing refers to the complete removal of data from hardware. It is a secure and permanent method of data removal. Reuse is no longer possible. However, the data carrier is recycled after degaussing. Degaussing works based on a demagnetizing process.
Shredding
The shredder literally destroys data carriers such as hard drives, USB sticks, memory sticks, or other hardware. Reuse is no longer possible, as the shredder completely shreds everything. The destruction and recycling are done according to DIN 66399, the European standard. Even with shredding, we provide comprehensive reports and transportation services.
Data wiping or data carrier destruction?
Two different approaches. The same goal. An alternative to physically destroying data carriers is data wiping, where the data on the carrier is destroyed through the use of software. The advantage of this method is that the IT hardware’s lifecycle is extended. The hardware becomes reusable, and through efficient refurbishment processes, we ensure circularity.
